This Privacy Policy explains how WhisprHub handles information when you use the WhisprHub mobile application, website, and related services.
We collect date of birth to enforce this age requirement. We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to create accounts.
Your email address and date of birth are private account information. They are not displayed to other WhisprHub users.
1. Information we collect
Account and age-verification information
- Email address.
- Password credentials processed by Firebase Authentication. WhisprHub does not store your readable password; Firebase stores a cryptographically protected password representation.
- Date of birth, used to verify that you are at least 18.
- Username and public profile information you choose to provide.
Content and community activity
- Audio recordings you upload, including whispers and echo responses. If you use voice masking, a temporary raw recording is processed to create the masked version and is then scheduled for deletion.
- Titles, descriptions, mood tags, timestamps, likes, reports, blocks, and moderation status associated with content.
- Notifications and whether you have read them.
Device, diagnostics, advertising, and analytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging registration tokens used to deliver notifications to your device.
- Device, app, interaction, advertising, and diagnostic information processed through Firebase services, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob.
- Advertising identifiers and ad interaction information where permitted by your device settings and applicable law.
Location
The current WhisprHub app does not request, collect, or process your device's precise or approximate location. A city label shown with content, when present, is content metadata rather than live device location.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure your account and enforce the 18+ age limit.
- Deliver, store, play, and moderate voice content.
- Operate likes, echoes, notifications, reports, and blocking.
- Apply requested voice masks and remove temporary raw audio.
- Detect abuse, investigate reports, and enforce community rules.
- Provide advertising and understand app performance and usage.
- Maintain reliability, diagnose crashes, and prevent fraud.
3. What other users can see
Depending on how you use WhisprHub, other users may see your username, public profile information, posted audio, echo responses, mood tags, titles, descriptions, likes, and related public activity.
Other users cannot read your email address, date of birth, private age-verification record, password credentials, or device messaging token through the app.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and keep content and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect users. Moderation and security records may be retained where reasonably necessary.
Account deletion requests are processed by WhisprHub’s protected
deleteMyAccount service. It deletes the Firebase
Authentication account, public and private profile records,
username reservation, device notification tokens, blocks, likes,
reports, authored whispers and echoes, and associated uploaded
audio. Some information may remain in backups, security or
moderation records, service-provider systems, or legally required
records for a limited period.
In the app, open Profile, choose “Delete my account,” type DELETE to confirm, and re-enter your password if prompted. The app signs you out when deletion completes.
6. Your choices and controls
- Change notification permissions in device settings.
- Limit or reset advertising identifiers through device controls.
- Block users and report content from within WhisprHub.
- Request deletion using the in-app account deletion control.
Privacy rights vary by location and may include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.
7. Security and international processing
We use access controls, Firebase security rules, server-side authorization, and transport encryption to protect information. No system is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as WhisprHub changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
9. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the support contact published with WhisprHub’s official app-store listing.
